There are 4 major categories in Permanent Commission in Pakistan Army to apply. First is PMA Long Course (PMA L\C) , 2nd is Armed Forces Nursing Services (AFNS) 3rd is Medical Cadet Course (MC) and 4th is Technical cadet course TCC. PMA Long course and Medical Cadet Course is Only for Male Candidates, no Girls can apply in these course, But Armed Forces Nursing Services AFNS is the Course for Girls to apply in Army as Commissioned Officers Post. 1. PMA Long Course (L/C) :
PMA Long Course is one of the Most Important permanent commission in Pak Army. The Importance of this Course can be understand , that Chief of Army Staff is always selected from Long Course Batch. and All The Generals of GHQ are From Long Course. Hope Certificate: All students who have passed fsc exam can apply in both intake , October intake and April Intake, if you are appearing in 2nd Year Exams , then you can also apply on the basis of Hope certificate.

2. AFNS Course
AFNS is Branch of Pak Army in which only Girls can apply as commissioned officer at the starting rank of lieutenant and further proto up to brigadier rank. Basically AFNS officers serves as Army Nurses in all CMH Hospitals of the country and posted to other hospitals. Many Benefits , AFNS Officers get from Pak army during their service. AFNS is only way for girls to join Join Pak Army after FSc .

3. Medical Cadet Course (MC)
As we are discussing Join Pak Army after FSc , so Medical Corps is branch of Pak Army in which medical cadets are those candidates who get admission in army medical college Rawalpindi through army selection center ASRC initial exam. They are MBBS / BDS Students in AMC Rawalpindi and other 6 CMH Medical colleges in Pakistan. Till 2008 girls can boys both can apply but from 2009 GHQ Banned girls to apply and now only boys can apply as medical cadets. after completion of MBBS from army medical college , they went to PMA Kakul for military training and after passing out, they get Captain rank and posted to any CMH of Pakistan.

4. Technical Cadet Course TCC
TCC are those candidates who successfully get admissions in NUST and Colleges of NUST in engineering courses and become Gentle man Cadets (GC) . As we all know that MBBS Students in Army medical college selected from ASRC are called Medical Cadets ,likely Engineering students in NUST who selected through ASRC are called as Gentle Man Cadets (GC). after degree completing GC sent to PMA Kakul for Basic Military Training and Join Different corps of Pakistan army at the rank of Lieutenant and further rank increase to Captain, Major, Lt.
